01 | CORPORATE PROFILE
Magnus International Resources specializes in identifying, acquiring and developing precious and base metal properties. Magnus’ objective is to develop a balanced portfolio of early-to-advanced stage projects. Magnus is currently focused on its six gold projects in Uganda comprising a total of 3,958 sq km. Magnus’ flagship project is the Mashonga/Ibanda property where high grades of gold-platinum-palladium-silver have been reported from samples at the historical Mashonga mine. Magnus can earn a 60% interest in the Mashonga property and an exclusive option to earn an 80% interest in the Ibanda property. Magnus also has a 100% interest in four other gold targets, at Mitoma, Mwerusandu, Mubende and Lugazi. At Lugazi, a total of 2,037m of RC drilling was completed across a gold-in-soil anomaly the results of which indicated zones of supergene gold enrichment within saprolite. Magnus also completed 667m of RC drilling at the Mashonga mine, targeting the shear zone that was mined for gold and silver in the open pit and underground adit.
The Company has also identified multi-commodity targets in virgin exploration regions totaling 871 sq km, based on magnetic and radiometric data processing from the airborne geophysical survey covering 80% of Uganda. The Kidera licence will target possible diamonds and industrial minerals such as phosphate, tantalum and vermiculite, from interpreted kimberlites and carbonatite complexes. At the Kigumba licence a large linear uranium anomaly was identified which measures 22 km in length and up to 400m wide. Magnus has also acquired a licence over the Nyanga tantalum target, which is one of the largest tantalum deposits in Uganda. This represents a significant opportunity for evaluating the tantalum resources at Nyanga and for discovering additional satellite tantalum pegmatite deposits on the property.
This portfolio of projects has made Magnus one of the most significant license holders in Uganda, an under explored country well-positioned for an exploration boom. Magnus intends to further expand its Ugandan portfolio by generating and acquiring more exploration projects as well as through joint venture. |
